Heather Thomas PA-C Weight Loss Specialist

I joined the Clinical Nutrition Center as a weight loss provider in 2006. With my experience and caring approach, I’m here to help you reach your weight loss goals. I specialize in managing obesity and know how to use weight loss medications while also addressing other medical issues in a way that’s friendly to weight loss. My integrated approach ensures you have all the tools you need for success.

I graduated from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center’s Physician Assistant Program, and I earned my undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Colorado. Before coming to CNC, I spent ten years working in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. During that time, I focused a lot on teaching patients and their families about the importance of good nutrition and exercise. I believe that healthy kids need positive role models, and I’m excited to help entire families reach their weight management goals.

One of the best parts of being a Physician Assistant is being part of a healthcare team. At CNC, I work closely with Dr. Lazarus, dietitians, and our amazing front office staff. Education and disease prevention are always a big part of my job, and I love working with motivated patients who want to improve their health.

Outside of work, I lead a busy life as a mom of three. My family and I live in Parker, Colorado, and we enjoy all the activities our beautiful state has to offer—like skiing, biking, running, soccer, swimming, and hiking. Like many of our patients, I try to balance family, work, and a healthy lifestyle.
