Emotional Eating: Creating a healthy relationship with food

Losing weight and keeping it off permanently is hard for many reasons. One reason so many "diets" fail is that addressing what we eat is not always the problem. Sometimes the problem is why. Do you eat for emotional reasons more so than as a result of being hungry? Are there foods you can't stop eating? Have you ever worried that you are addicted to food?

John Hess, M.S., L.P.C. & Reed Haight, M.A.

Class Schedule:
Every Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM Starting January 14th, 2016 (10 classes)

Emotional Eating Creating a healthy relationship with foodLosing weight and keeping it off permanently is hard for many reasons. One reason so many “diets” fail is that addressing what we eat is not always the problem. Sometimes the problem is why.

Do you eat for emotional reasons more so than as a result of being hungry? Are there foods you can’t stop eating? Have you ever worried that you are addicted to food?

Clinical Nutrition Center is thrilled to present John Hess, LPC, and Reed Haight, MA. Together, they have developed a program to help treat food addiction called lifestyle transformation. Instead of going on another diet, how about addressing the root cause?  Food addiction.

This time, work on creating healthy relationships with food, others and yourself.

The lifestyle transformation program will be offered at CNC in our new classroom in a small group setting. This will be a 10 week course and will provide you the resources, support and structure needed to experience a successful recovery from food addiction. Each participant receives guided workbooks and materials for daily progress. Over the course of the program, participants will have the opportunity to accept supports and create a new relationship with food, with their loved ones, and most importantly, with themselves.

After an initial free session, this 10 session class will meet every Thursday for 90 minutes. The total cost for all 10 classes and workbooks will be $450.

John Hess is a licensed therapist with over 10 years working with process addictions.  Reed Haight is a masters level therapist with over 5 years of experience in working with behavior change and 2 years specializing in addictions.

  1. Will this class be offered at different times and days? I am interested but Thurs am does not work for me. Do they offer others?

    • That is the only time we are offering it right now; however, the therapist running the class does other classes outside of CNC. Feel free to call us for his contact information.
